LVC Companies is growing is currently looking for a Special Hazard Fire Suppression Technician for the installation, inspection, maintenance, repair and service of pre-engineered fire suppression systems, distributed by LVC Companies in Hibbing, MN.  LVC is a great place to work offers wonderful benefits. Primary Responsibilities the Special Hazard Fire Suppression Technician include, but not limited to :

  • Installation of mechanical piping and components.
  • Operation of mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure system performance.
  • Plan and initiate projects that would benefit our customers and LVC.
  • Install and service of mechanical and electronic fire systems.
  • Install pathways and spaces for installation of mechanical piping and low voltage wiring.
  • lay out, install and verify operation of mechanical and electrical fire suppression systems.
  • Install, test, certify and troubleshoot of fire suppression systems.
  • Meet all installation deadlines.
  • Install, terminate and test wires and cables, both Copper and Fiber-Optic.
  • Prefabricate fire systems for field installation.
  • Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, service/installation tickets and inventory items.
  • Full compliance with company's and customer's safety program.
  • Ability to maintain or acquire local licenses and/or required certifications.
  • Other duties as required or assigned by company management.



  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, and understanding and use of tools.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components and circuitry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-starter
  • Maintains a high level of professional conduct
  • Understand the importance of safety


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in this industry
  • A working knowledge of fire protection and low voltage systems.
