LVC Companies is currently looking for a Low Voltage Technician for the installation, termination, inspection, maintenance, repair, service, wire pulling and certification of commercial fire alarm and security systems.

Responsibilities:
• Installation of electronic cable as per specifications and NEC codes.
• Basic wiring and installation of hardware used in fire alarm and security systems.
• Operation of cable testing equipment to ensure system performance.
• Plan and initiate projects.
• Install and service electronic fire and security systems.
• Strong understanding of electronic components and circuitry.
• Install Pathways and Spaces for Installation of Low Voltage Wiring.
• Install, terminate and test wires and cables, both Copper and Fiber-Optic.
• Install, test, certify and troubleshoot Local Area Network (LAN) Cabling Systems.
• Lay Out, Install and Verify Operation of Security and Access Control Systems.
• Install Communications and Sound Distribution Systems.
• Provide Testing, Analysis and Repair of Video, Voice and Data Systems; including Electronic Devices such as Gateways, Routers, Hubs, NIC Cards, Telephone Switches, etc.
• Prefabricate Systems, such as Telecommunications Racks, for field installation.
• Meet all installation deadlines.
• Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, service/installation tickets and inventory items.
• Full compliance with company's and customer's safety program.
• Strong understanding of Local Fire Code, NFPA 72, NEC 70 and other applicable codes. Ability to maintain or acquire local licenses and/or required certifications.
• Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

Qualifications:
• High School Degree or equivalent
• An associate's degree in electronics is preferred
• Minimum of two years industry experience. (Industry experience will be considered on an individual basis.)
• A working knowledge of low voltage systems is required.
