LVC Companies, Inc. is  currently seeking a part-time Human Resources Assistant. This is a very interesting job as it will support all parts of our business.  

The Human Resources team is key to LVC's success, and plays an active role in assisting all departments of LVC.  The person for this job would understand confidentiality and its importance to this department.

Reports to HR Manager


The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resources operations.

Essential Functions

    • Post job descriptions 
    • Schedule candidate interviews and follow up with applicants via email and phone
    • Facilitate pre-employment testing and distribute results to appropriate managers as needed
    • Facilitate background checks & drug testing for prospective employees
    • Alert employees on upcoming events & quarterly meetings
    • Assist with organizing company events
    • Update excel spreadsheets, for various tracking projects
    • Explain regulations, policies, or procedures to employees when needed
    • Data entry of new employee information
    • Organize employee documents and files
    • Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions
    • Assist and track auto accident claims for our fleet vehicle drivers
    • Assist with compliance data and submissions
    • Assists manager with HR projects
    • Attend ongoing HR related training as needed
    • Assists with benefits administration questions and projects
    • And other duties as they arise


  • Able to work legally within the United States
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Must be very conscience of holding information confidential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Office, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to take initiative and promote effective work practices
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a team member
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Precise data entry skills 

Required Education and Experience

  • One year of office or clerical support experience
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED


Preferred Education and Experience

  • College or associates degree 
  • Training and experience in Human Resources
  • Knowledge or experience with Labor Unions


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Part-time, approximately 20 to 24 hours per week
