Low Voltage Service Technician

 

LVC Companies is looking for an additional Low Voltage Service Technician. LVC has a polished and dedicated team of employees that work hard for a great product and excellent service. Our company culture is described as professional, friendly and a great team atmosphere.

Join our leading team of service technicians to inspect, maintain, and repair critical life safety and security systems. Our team is second to none, with our reputation proceeding ourselves in the Low Voltage industry.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to perform and assist in fire life safety systems inspections
  • Perform service calls on card access systems
  • Perform service calls on video systems
  • Basic wiring and installation of hardware used in fire alarm and security systems
  • Responsible for accurate time sheets, service tickets and inventory items
  • Full compliance with company's and customers safety programs
  • Strong understanding of Local Fire Code, NFPA 72, NEC 70 and other applicable codes

 

 

Required Skills:

  • (PLT) Power Limited Technican License (or the ability to obtain in the near future)
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to navigate inspection software
  • Must be extremely motivated
  • Knowledgeable in multiple brands of fire systems including Notifier
  • Strong background in card access and video systems
  • Understand IP networks in relation to camera systems
  • Must have good working relations with other members of our team
  • Ability to multitask and learn quickly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in Software House and Lenel Card Access systems a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in this industry
  • A Minimum of two years' experience- in similar industry. (Industry experience will be considered on an individual basis.)
  • A working knowledge of fire protection and low voltage systems.
