LVC Companies is currently looking for a Low Voltage Technician for the installation, termination, inspection, maintenance, repair, service, wire pulling and certification of security systems. Responsibilities:

  • Lay out, install, and verify operation of video surveillance and security and access control systems.
  • Installation of electronic cable as per specifications and NEC codes.
  • Install pathways and spaces for installation of Low Voltage Wiring.
  • Install, terminate and test wires and cables, both copper and fiber-optic.
  • Basic wiring and installation of hardware used in security systems.
  • Operation of cable testing equipment to ensure system performance.
  • Plan and initiate projects.
  • Meet all installation deadlines.
  • Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, service/installation tickets and inventory items.
  • Full compliance with company's and customer's safety programs.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components and circuitry.
  • Strong understanding of Local Fire Code, NFPA 72, NEC 70 and other applicable codes.
  • Ability to maintain or acquire local licenses and/or required certifications.
  • Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

Qualifications:

  • PLT license
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Must have good working relations with co-workers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years industry experience. (Industry experience will be considered on an individual basis.)
  • A working knowledge of low voltage systems is required.
